# Oracle

Reporter-based on-chain price feeds for DeFi integrations on SVPChain Testnet.

SVPChain Testnet deploys **reporter-based price feed contracts** for ecosystem and DeFi use — reading ETH/USD, BTC/USD, and stablecoin pairs from on-chain aggregator contracts.

{% hint style="warning" %}
This page is **not** the DEX / CLOB price oracle. Perpetual markets and the native order book use the **Slinky consensus oracle** (validator vote extensions). That system is documented in [DEX oracle (Slinky)](/svpchain-docs/chain/oracle.md).
{% endhint %}

### How it works

1. Authorized **reporters** submit off-chain market prices to feed contracts.
2. Each feed waits until **3 reporters** have submitted for the current round.
3. On update, the contract takes the **median** of reporter quotes.
4. Quotes that deviate from the median by more than **2%** (200 bps) are **discarded** before aggregation.

Integrate by calling the feed contract's latest price view functions from your dApp or indexer.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://svpchain.gitbook.io/svpchain-docs/ecosystem/oracle.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
